The Agritourism Hukkanen farm is located 19 kilometers from the base — an ideal place for a day trip.

The optimal plan includes walks along the rocky shores, tasting the bread that is baked there, buying lamb for the evening grill, riding horses, meeting other inhabitants of the farm and leaving with a basket of strawberries, hand-picked from the adjacent strawberry field. A little further, a distance of 47 kilometers away, in the Puumala area, there is Temolan Viinitila, a small farm for the production of unique wine — made from red, black, white currants and raspberries. There you can also buy fruit champagne wines, liqueurs from local berries and apple cider, with a free sample for tasting before purchase.

The town of Savonlinna is located 75 km away from us.

Mannerheim line, bunkers, etc. The convenient location, the prestige of the infrastructure and the developed transport accessibility to the historical centers of Finland, makes your vacation in our complex unique in its class.

Finnish wood-burning sauna, which is over 100 years old. We have preserved it, restored it, and consequently it provides magnificent steam in gratitude.

WATER, FOREST AND FISH OF YOUR DREAMS

After daily fidgeting in traffic jams (both on the ground and underground), people dream of outdoor recreation. Would you like to be away from civilization, but with all its comforts? alone with nature, but not in the wilderness? A distant summer residence for a resident of a megalopolis. Such a place is a utopia. Breathe in the crystal air, swim in the purest waters, enjoy fishing in the best traditions of healthy lifestyle which is all possible in the Country of a thousand lakes, in Finland. For several years in a row, particularly distinguished employees of Bigpikchi have disappeared from the radar in Lieviska Family's park, a small recreation center located on the shore of Saimaa, Finland's largest lake. Photos and impressions have accumulated, stars aligned — in general, it's time to share the delights of this truly healing pastime.

The Road

To get to the place is not only easy, but actually pleasant — regardless of the means of transportation. You can get there by train or car.

Driving from Helsinki takes only four hours on excellent quality roads with stunning views all around. You could also use the small airport in the city of Savonlinna. The road from which is less than 100 km. Today there are flights from Milan and several other European cities operated by Ryanair. But in any case, you will not have to waste time on acclimatization, because Finland is in our time zone. Finnish roads are beautiful. The first thing that makes an impression is their smoothness. Despite the rather hilly terrain to Lieviski, where the base is located, it feels like you are gliding on shiny gray velvet, and not on the ground surface.

A small section of the road to the base is gravel, but you don't feel the difference — here people monitor it in every corner. Therefore, if on the way you want to stop by the forest to collect blueberries or lingonberries that are spread out like a carpet under your feet in the summer season, give in to the impulse. You will return to your route safely and, most importantly, clean.

It is impossible not to mention the neat, almost alpine landscapes that change outside the window on the way to the base. Small red houses, as from the picture, geometrically correct, well-groomed fields, blissful due to this, artiodactyls… In general, the eye begins to rest already on the road.

Water

Finland has over 190 thousand lakes and reservoirs. And their purest water is not an exaggeration, but a confirmed fact. According to the UNESCO report, 80% of the water in the country is "exceptionally clean". Locals drink it from the tap, and some, accustomed to taking everything from nature, can sip a glass or two directly from the lake to impress visitors. Succeeds.

This is because Finns are extremely sensitive to environmental issues and treat nature as the main national wealth. Whatever the forest, it is green gold, whatever the lake, it is a pearl in the diadem of the country's water system.

In this very water there are a huge number of healthy pike, perch, trout, salmon and whitefish, grateful for their happy fish age. These are the stellar representatives of the Finnish water world. However, who would be excited for fishing? Perhaps everyone has a friend who goes somewhere every summer, and then shares photos on Instagram "with the guys" at the tent, by the campfire, with a fishing rod, at sunset… Occasionally — with fish.

To appreciate the pleasures of solitude, it is not necessary to take a fishing rod in your hands. But it is simply impossible to leave here without vivid impressions about fishing. And impressions for the whole family.

Here fishing has a sacred character in the style of Hemingway. For some, opposition is important — he fought, won, and you can let go. For some others, it is necessary to get a trophy - a pike's head. For others, the rule is "on the pot" — take as much as you can eat today.

Regardless of the approach, you fall in love with the process from the first steps to a deserted backwater, where the only sounds are the conversations of birds and the blows of lonely boats on the pier.

On a chilly morning, you rush, free as the wind, to the dawn horizon on a boat, each time fishing in a new area.

On another day, you rush to a fishing trip with your son, you lean on the oars, gliding on the mirror silk water.

Each time is unique.

Land

Now about activities on land. There is a large tennis court between the houses — passions are boiling and calories are burning. There is a playground nearby, a ping-pong table, and a small vegetable garden a little further away. If you come with children, get ready for a real competition for preparing the salad. And that's not all.

This year, children's tennis camps were held on the basis of Lieviska Park. Every day the kinds trained, practiced technique, played in the mode of a real tournament – according to all the rules, with a judge and parents as a support group. Despite their young age, each of them has been playing tennis for several years and take competitions very seriously.

There are all the conditions for this – the infrastructure is in order, fresh air, and most importantly like- minded people. In their free time, the kids prefer fishing and boating over sitting in their gadgets, because it is a whole adventure that they would not find in the city.

In general, there was a school here in the 50s, then the place remained abandoned for a long time, but the owners of the base - several friendly families — reconstructed and ennobled it. Initially, the site was equipped exclusively for personal use, hence everything is done conscientiously and with taste. The house has everything from a dishwasher to a private sauna. Moreover, there is a functional historical object on the territory — a real Finnish sauna, which is over 100 years old.

Usually, as it happens: you come to the resort, the first days you enjoy a change of scenery, lack of work and splashing like fish in the water and, it feels as if you ready to live on solar energy instead. After some time, you begin to notice the shortcomings, and a little later you climb the wall out of boredom and are filled with enthusiasm due to a new stream of visitors.

Do not limit yourself to the comfort zone — you can rent a bike and walk around the neighborhood on the pleasing roads. Or go hiking armed with a navigator and a camera (there are many hiking routes). Breathtaking views of Karelo-Finnish nature all around you.

You can explore the surrounding areas by car. There is something to see here.

On Wednesday and Saturday mornings in the village of Lohilakhti (translated as "salmon bay"), which is 9 kilometers from Lieviski, there is a farmer's market — there you can get acquainted with the local population, buy national Finnish clothes, fresh local products, homemade and wild meat. The Hukkanen Farm is located 19 kilometers from the base — an ideal place for a day trip. The optimal plan consists of walks along the rocky shores, tasting the bread that is baked there, buying lamb for the evening grill (it is no worse than New Zealand), riding horses, getting to know other inhabitants of the farm and leaving with a basket of strawberries, hand-picked from the adjacent strawberry field.

Food

With dairy products in mind (we do not encroach on the sacred) in Finland, it is easy to adhere to the nutrition system of ancient man — paleo. You can minimize refined and processed foods, eat local berries, mushrooms, vegetables, and at lunch there are the freshest cutlets made from pike and walleye caught in the morning.

Since we are talking about food, it is worth noting that the environmental situation in Finland has a beneficial effect on the country's food — exceptional attention is paid to high-quality organic products. 55 kilometers from the base, on the way to the railway station, there is a large supermarket, "Prisma".

Reasonable prices, a large variety and an abundance of products.

A culinary discovery, obligatory to commit, is the independent smoking of fish on alder sawdust. Believe me, your taste buds have never felt anything tastier than freshly smoked trout. The only con is — after that you will no longer buy trout from stores.

There are many arguments in favor of a Finnish holiday, the conclusion is the same — you must go.

Time flows slowly here, the views are captivate, and the air clears the head — everything you need for a total reboot before heading back to working in the city.

The coolest vacation in Lieviska! Comfort in the cottage, nature, berries, mushrooms beyond the threshold. Blue lakes with clear, purest water of Saimaa. The children enjoyed their holidays in Finland very much, every day on the street, then fishing, then on the playground. Saima gave us a lot of fish, thank you! Two weeks flew by like one day (Thanks Finland, thanks Lieviska! Let's go back again. Ivanka, Semyon, Matvey and Katenka.

Honestly, I didn't want to write a review! Sorry Lieviska Park! I do not want and will not tell anyone and advertise this place. But I promised you to write a sincere review about the place, I am writing. For a large company, what you need, what you will not find in all of Finland, there is no such second wonderful place! There is everything here for a carefree family corporate holiday, there were five of us families!!! We rented the whole complex, only our own. Excellent nature, sandy beach, "crazy" old bathhouse on the shore, tennis, volleyball, fishing on the lakes. The living conditions are fantastic! There is everything for a family holiday.
